As the remote Hakurei Shrine rarely gets any human visitors, Reimu spends most of her days watching the clouds drift by and relaxing over a cup of tea. However, she also has a talent for martial and spiritual arts.
Using her abilities, she has resolved many strange incidents in order to maintain the power balance between the humans and youkai of Gensokyo.
She is tasked with exterminating youkai who pose a threat to humankind, though she often skips her shrine maiden training.
